"The DPSG sees a particular opportunity in young people's experiencing international diversity, being able to learn from each other and to help to shape peace. Therefore the Association's groups hold meetings and conduct joint projects with other countries scouting associations." (Rules of the DPSG, p. 6)

This will be precisely the focus of 2011 and 2012 in our diocesan part of the DPSG. Together with you we want to.

  • sensitize and activate others as well as ourselves
  • arouse interest
  • provide the basis for encounters
  • experience internationality
  • establish and strengthen partnerships
  • afford encounter and reunion

For this purpose we are happy to provide you with any required assistance and are looking forward to an exciting cooperation with you!

At the moment we are busy with the build-up - therefore further specifics cannot be found here yet.

Until then the following is meant to be a helpful basis for your planning:

  • 2011 and 2012 are the years in the focus of interest
  • The encounter in a foreign country takes place in 2011.
  • The reunion in Germany takes place in 2012.
  • First steps in planning must be made right now to ensure that the encounter in 2011 will be financially successful.
  • The "Jamb de Cologne" will probably take place during summer vacations 2012. Hence your reunion can happen beforehand or afterwards.
  • If time is too short for an encounter in 2011, it is also possible to do it in 2013.

CURIOUS NOW?

By then it is your task to start with discussions in your leadership or in the age groups about the idea of the campaign, about possible twin cities and partner groups, and to establish first connections there even though there seems to be a lot of time there between Easter 2010 and summer 2011 and there is still a summer camp to be planned.
